Robert Rogulic, an experienced executive in the trucking industry, serves as the president and CEO of Missouri-based Tri-National, Inc. (TNi). In this capacity, Robert Rogulic ensures his team provides high-quality transportation services to customers in Canada, Mexico, and the central corridor of the United States. Most truck drivers need a commercial driver’s license (CDL). These licenses fall into three categories - Class A, B, and C. Each class allows people to drive vehicles of varying gross vehicle weight ratings (GVWR). A Class A CDL includes vehicles with a gross combination weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 pounds or more, while the GVWR of the trailer being towed must be at least 10,000 pounds. This includes such vehicles as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tanker vehicles. Depending on the specific vehicle driven, drivers must earn certain endorsements alongside their Class A license. Drivers must pass a written test to get these endorsements. Meanwhile, a Class B CDL allows drivers to drive a single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 pounds. It also allows for driving a vehicle that is towing another vehicle that weighs up to 10,000 pounds. Class B license holders can operate such vehicles as segmented buses, straight trucks, or dump trucks. Finally, Class C licenses are for vehicles that do not meet the criteria for a Class B or Class A license. These vehicles must be used to transport at least 16 passengers or hazardous materials.
