Based in Burr Ridge, Illinois, Robert Rogulic is the founder, president, and CEO of Tri-National, Inc., a company that provides reliable transport and trucking services to and from Mexico and Canada through the central corridor of the United States. Robert Rogulic is a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).
In 1871, NRA was founded by Army veterans Gen. George Wingate and Col. William C. Church to “promote and encourage rifle shooting on a scientific basis.” The veterans founded the association because they were disappointed by the poor marksmanship displayed by their troops. After the New York State granted the NRA a charter, Ambrose Burnside, Civil War general, became its first president. In 1872, the NRA developed a practice ground on which a rifle range named Creedmoor was built. On this ground, the association held its first annual matches. In 1892, however, tough opposition to the promotion of marksmanship forced the NRA to leave New York. The organization started holding its contests at Sea Grit, New Jersey. Early in the 20th century, the NRA developed another shooting facility close to Toledo, Ohio, owing to its exponential growth. The facility was named Camp Perry, and it has housed the NRA’s annual National Matches since its development. Today, the organization’s National Matches see about 6,000 competitors yearly, making it one of the largest sporting events in America. The NRA currently boasts of more than five million members, a history of training Americans to become better shooters, and protecting their rights to bear arms.
